Western Oasis Tour
Description: 8 days/7 night's tour Cairo - Bahariya Oasis - White Desert -
Farafra Oasis - Dakhla Oasis - Kharga Oasis - Luxor.
Itinerary in details:
Day 1:Arrival in Cairo
Enjoy a warm welcome at the airport from our Representative and escort to your
hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 2: Cairo
After breakfast, your tour this morning starts with the impressive Cairo Museum
of Antiquities. It houses treasures from the 1st to the 31st dynasties of
Egypt's Pharaohs, including the treasures of King Tutankh - Amun. Continue to
the Citadel of Salah El Din. Built in 1183 AD, it houses many important
monuments, including the Great Mohammed Ali Mosque. Your visit continues to the
Sultan Hassan Mosque and the fascinating Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Return to the
hotel.
Day 3: Cairo - Oasis Bahariya
After the breakfast, we leave early morning to visit Giza Pyramids and the
Sphinx, then continue towards the Bahariya oasis, also known as the Golden
Mummies Valley. Numerous sources of water make of the oasis a green island in a
sea of sand. We thus discover the sources of hot water, the palm tree alleys
and of course the exhibition of the famous Golden Mommies. Dinner and overnight
in the hotel in Bahariya.
Day 5: White desert - Farafra - Dakhla Oasis
In the morning, visit of the native museum and then we proceed towards the most
beautiful oasis of the Western Desert, Dakhla Oasis. Here we will visit El Qasr
and Deir El Hajar, the 'Monastery of stones', a temple dated from the Roman
emperors and later occupied by Christian monks. Overnight in a hotel in Dakhla.
Day 6: Dakhla Oasis - Kharga Oasis
Today our trip leads us to the 'Valley of the Pyramids' and Kharga Oasis, with
an important historical and cultural past. We will visit the Temple of Hibis,
the Temple of Nadura and the Museum of Kharga. Overnight in a hotel in Kharga.
Day 7: Kharga Oasis - Luxor
Our journey continues today through the desert in direction to the Nile. In the
afternoon we arrive in Luxor. Overnight in the hotel in Luxor.
Day 8:
Departure from Luxor. Transfer to the airport in Luxor and flight back .

Day 2: Cairo - Bahariya
Oasis In the morning, departure from your address in Cairo (airport, hotel,
private address) to Bahariya Oasis. Arrival at hotel. In the afternoon, a local
visiting tour: Temple of Ain El Muftella, a roman water spring, Tomb of
Bannantiu, Temple of Alexander the Great, Museum of Bahariya, where the Golden
Mummies are exposed. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Bahariya.
Day 3: Bahariya Oasis - White Desert
Departure with Jeep 4x4 to the White Desert. On the way, you will see the Black
Desert and the dunes area. A climbing of a 50 m high dune is foreseen. Lunch in
El Heiz Oasis. Proceeding to Farafra, you will see the Cristal Mountain, the
place of miracles with the Desert Roses. Then El Akabat and finally the White
Desert. Dinner and overnight in camp under the stars...
Day 4: White Desert - Bahariya
Oasis Breakfast in the White Desert. Journey back to Bahariya and local tour in
Bahariya by Jeep: visit of the Pharos market and a hot water spring. Then from
the hotel we have a camel ride to the Pyramid Mountain. Overnight in a hotel in
Bahariya.
Day 5: Bahariya Oasis - Cairo
After breakfast, transfer back to your address in Cairo.

Day 5: Cairo
After breakfast, the program starts with the visits of: the Gizeh Pyramids and
the Sphinx, the worldwide known Egyptian Museum, the Citadel with its alabaster
Mosque of Mohamed Ali. In the evening, you will stroll in the famous bazaar of
Khan El Khalili. Night in the hotel in Cairo.
Day 6: Cairo - North Coast
Journey to the North Coast. You have the choice between a leisure stay in Ain
El Sukhna, Marsa Matrouh or El Alamein. Overnight in the hotel in your chosen
destination.
Day 7 - 9: North Coast

Day 10: North Coast - Departure for Cairo .

In the morning we leave in the direction of the desert towards the Bahariya
oasis. Lunch at Minamar Hotel. Excursion by Jeep 4x4 in the White Desert. On
the way we pass through the Black Desert, Agabat and the Crystal Mountain.
Barbeque dinner and night in tents in the desert.
Day 4: White Desert - Bahariya Oasis
Return to the Bahariya oasis. Transfer to the hotel and lunch. Afternoon, time
off or in option a local tour of the Bahariya oasis to visit the Roman tombs,
the Museum of the Golden Mummies, Alexander the Great Temple and a source of
hot water. Night in the hotel in Bahariya.
Day 5: Bahariya Oasis - Cairo - Aswan
Departure to Cairo. After lunch, free afternoon. At the end of the day,
transfer to the train station of Cairo and embarkation on the sleeping train to
Aswan. Dining and overnight on board of the train.
Day 6: Aswan
Breakfast on board of the train and arrival to Aswan. Transfer to the hotel. In
the afternoon a pleasant navigation by felucca around the Elephantine Island.
Night in the hotel in Aswan.
Day 7: Aswan - Kom Ombo
Aswan - Kom Ombo In the morning, visit of the high Dam and the Philae Temple,
dedicated to Isis Goddess. In the afternoon transfer to your felucca and
navigation until Kom Ombo. Dining and overnight on board of the felucca.
Day 8: Kom Ombo - Luxor
Breakfast on board of the felucca. Visit of Kom Ombo's Temple and transfer by
private car towards Luxor passing through Edfu, where we visit the Edfu Temple.

Visits of the Karnak Temples and the Luxor Temple. Free afternoon in Luxor.

Day 5: Marsa Matrouh - Siwa Oasis
The road continues to Siwa Oasis, a place where Bedouin and desert traditions
are still conserved. Visit of: Shali, Gebel Dakrour. Overnight in the hotel in
Siwa.
Day 6: Siwa Oasis
After breakfast we explore Siwa. We will visit the Cleopatra hot spring and the
Temple of Amun. Overnight in the hotel in Siwa
Day 7: Siwa Oasis - Bahariya Oasis
Journey through the Libyan desert in direction of Bahariya Oasis. Overnight in

Wadi Al-Hitan (Whale Valley) Fayoum Oasis
Wadi Al-Hitan, Whale Valley, in the Western Desert of Egypt, contains
invaluable fossil remains of the earliest, and now extinct, suborder of whales,
Archaeoceti. These fossils represent one of the major stories of evolution: the
emergence of the whale as an ocean-going mammal from a previous life as a
land-based animal. This is the most important site in the world for the
demonstration of this stage of evolution. It portrays vividly the form and life
of these whales during their transition. The number, concentration and quality
of such fossils here is unique, as is their accessibility and setting in an
attractive and protected landscape. The fossils of Al-Hitan show the youngest
archaeocetes, in the last stages of losing their hind limbs. Other fossil
material in the site makes it possible to reconstruct the surrounding
environmental and ecological conditions of the time.
Whale Valley (Wadi Al Hitan) 1 night / 2 days
1st Day :- Cairo - Fayoum
Whale Valley Desert Safari Camp. From Cairo we drive by jeep south towards
Fayoum, the largest oasis in the Western Desert. We stop at Lake Qaroun tour by
felucca (half an hour) and then kaser Qaroun , At Wadi Rayan we visit the
spring and waterfall having lunch then continue into the desert. We reach Wadi
Al Hitan (otherwise known as the Valley of Whales), a surreal region where huge
boulders seem to be capped with an imaginary icing of thick caramelized syrup,
which appears to ooze down their sides. Within this extraordinary landscape the
fossil remains of Zeuglodon have been found - whales that existed in the Fayoum
over 40 million years ago. We spend the night camping out under a canopy of
stars. Overnight Camping.
2nd Day:-
Whale Valley -Cairo Breakfast and departure to Cairo. End of our services.

Day 1: Luxor - Esna
After breakfast, departure to Esna and then beginning of the navigation in
direction of El Hegz. Night on board.
Day 2: Esna - Edfu
Navigation to El Kab. Visits: Temples of Hathor and Horus, the village and the
"Belgian house", jewel of Arab architecture. Lunch on board during
navigation to Edfu. Visit of the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus. Barbecue
on Island of Fawaza. Night on board.
Day 3: Fawaza Island - Djebel Silsileh
Navigation until Djebel Silsileh. Night on board.
